Southbank Centre runs a packed programme of formal and informal learning and participatory events and projects to engage and inspire schools, young people, adults, communities and talent development.  We are now seeking a Director of Learning to create, communicate and develop an inspiring and dynamic new model for learning and education at Southbank Centre which reflects and promotes the world class nature of our artistic work.

The Southbank Centre is seeking a Director of Learning to create, communicate and develop an inspiring and dynamic new model for learning and education at Southbank Centre which reflects and promotes the world class nature of our artistic work.

n this newly created role you will lead the creative direction and implementation of unique, sustainable and trail-blazing learning initiatives, ensuring a focus on the diversity of participants and providing strategic leadership and direction to the teams delivering learning across our artistic activities.

With substantial experience of strategic development of learning and education programmes at a local and national level, you will have a proven track record of devising, managing and producing complex learning projects and curriculums on time and to budget.  You will have a deep understanding of Southbank Centre’s audiences and potential audiences, stakeholders and communities across the UK and internationally, together with experience of maximising the geographic reach of learning programmes.  Advanced presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills are essential, as are excellent leadership skills, experience of facilitating groups of stakeholders to achieve a shared vision, and proven experience of delivering complex projects successfully.
