Upswing Aerial: Kickstart roles for young people

Upswing are offering two roles through the UK Government Kickstart Scheme. We're looking for a part-time Outreach Ambassador and an Administration Assistant to join us in developing new projects. Are you 18-24 years old, on Universal Credit, and looking at developing a career in the arts?

Upswing are looking for an Outreach Ambassador and an Administration Assistant to join Upswing for the development of a new performance work that will bring together contemporary circus, stand-up comedy and film. 

The Outreach Ambassador will assist Upswing and our two partner theatres Bernie Grant Arts Centre and Brixton House in building audiences and community support.

The Administration Assistant will provide excellent support to the Upswing team in order to help us deliver our exciting programme of work.

These roles will suit anyone who is enthusiastic about the arts (including circus, stand-up comedy and filmmaking), and who is interested in developing skills in community outreach, administrative, marketing and project management. We’re looking for people who are flexible and adaptable with a positive, approachable, can-do attitude.

Type: Part-time, 25 hours over a 3.5 day week – Working day is 09.30 – 17.30
Hourly rate of pay: London Living Wage, £11.05 per hour
Start Date: March 2022
Contract length: 6 months
Location: London UK
