We are looking for an Assistant Producer to assist with the delivery of the Level G programme of public events and installations at the Barbican.

Deadline for applications: 21 October 2019, 12 noon

The majority of the Barbicans arts activity take places in our core venues: a concert hall, two art galleries, two theatres, and three cinemas — each of which is programmed by a team of art-form specialists. Between these venues lie a series of public foyers where the majority of the programme you will be working on finds a home.
In these foyers, our Level G Programme of installations, residencies and public events sits side-by-side with the multitude of communities who rely on these spaces: freelancers working on laptops, students revising, parents and babies playing, audiences rushing around with coffees and beers before concerts and conferences… Its a busy, messy, well-used, and occasionally chaotic environment. Weve included links to recent projects from our programme in the Job Information Pack.
We are looking for a practical individual with good administrative skills to work with us on a range of shared and often collaborative projects. You should be flexible in your approaches to project management, as our programme is varied in scope and changes season-to-season. You should also be a sensitive negotiator, as you will be managing relationships with a large range internal stakeholders and external partners.
An interest in collaborative, socially-engaged, or research-driven arts practice is desirable. Experience in developing audiences, or working in community settings, will also prove beneficial in this role. If you have any questions, please email careers@barbican.org.uk.
