Summer School Teacher (Film/Screen/Editing)

Montage Theatre Arts - a friendly and professional theatre school for children aged 3-16 - is seeking a drama teacher with filming and editing experience for a week-long course during their summer school. Based in Brockley, South East London.

Person Specification

  • You must have proven experience teaching children under 5 years to 16 years
  • You will have proficient knowledge of editing software i.e. Premiere Pro etc. and can edit footage quickly
  • You must genuinely enjoy working with children and young people
  • You will have good references with a formal teaching qualification such as a theatre degree, LAMDA qualifications etc.

MTA can supply low-spec filming equipment and access to Adobe Creative Cloud should the candidate need assistance in these matters. 

Montage Theatre Arts (MTA) is a charity based in south-east London, established in 1998 by Founder Judy Gordon. The charity is now managed by a General Manager and a team of other professional practitioners and office staff. The company runs 37 weekly classes in performing arts plus holiday courses for young people and the elderly from the local community. With a respected track record for offering excellent and vital opportunities, MTA continues to help people from highly deprived areas acquire techniques and skills, develop confidence and social ability, whilst also breaking down barriers between cultural groups and the generations.
