Sound Connections is keen to build upon the Early Years Music Project started in 2008 and link to the newly formed London Early Years Music Leaders Network.
In anticipation that there will be continued funding from April 2011, Sound Connections are releasing tender briefs for their London Youth Music Action Zone programme.
The aim of the Early Years Music Project is to develop and increase access to high quality music provision in a diverse range of early years settings.

Sound Connections is inviting tenders for projects from:
Music Leaders and organisations with experience in Early Years music.
Childrens Centres, Pre-schools, nurseries, nurseries within primary schools, private childcare settings, child-minding networks, etc.
Which will:
Encourage settings to use music within its delivery of the curriculum and wrap around activities (eg. parent outreach work, healthy eating campaigns, literacy and numeracy)
Encourage settings to partner with music leaders and community musicians in order to support practitioners in their delivery of music
Encourage collaboration between different local settings to share best practice, resources and activity
Encourage parents and carers to become involved with music making with their children
Offer an honest appraisal of the processes and impact that music making has had on children, parents, carers and staff in your setting
