Call out for sculptors/makers for a residency in Deptford, London; starting from the beginning of July until the end of September 2013. The residency, offered by Loopart, is open to artists whose practice requires space and whose focus lays on contemporary social and political issues. The residency will culminate with an exhibition that will coincide with Deptford X, contemporary art festival based in South East London running from 27 September to 3 October 2013 (http://www.deptfordx.org/).

The purpose of the project is to offer space and time to sculptors/makers whose practice has suffered from lack of space and to bring together a group of artists who can investigate and initiate conversations around social/political issues through making. The project is also open to artists whose practice carries with participatory and community oriented elements.
