Background
The
East London Cultural Education Partnership (ELCEP) is a consortium of
over 30 arts, cultural and educational organisations that are committed
to providing access to a high quality cultural education to every child
and young person in East London. ELCEP has recently been awarded
£170,000 of strategic three-year funding from A New Directions Cultural
Education Challenge to develop Creative Schools, a programme which
will enable more young people and schools in East London to engage in
creative activities that meet their needs and development priorities.
The
programme is supported by A New Direction, with funding from Arts
Council England through Bridge funding, and is part of the Cultural
Education Challenge, an ambitious £900,000 three year programme designed
to bring about a step-change in Cultural Education and young peoples
cultural engagement in London.
Schools Partnerships Coordinator
This
key post will play an important role in the development and
implementation of the schools brokerage strand of the Creative Schools
programme. This role will be based at Stratford Circus Arts Centre and
will involve work off-site in schools. The post holder is subject to an
Enhanced DBS check.
£23,000 pro rata – 3 days a week
Purpose
To coordinate all aspects of the
East London Cultural Education Partnerships schools brokerage programme.
This job role is comprised of the following areas:
- Recruitment of schools to the programme
- Coordination of brokerage model including audits, consultations and associated events
- Administration and evaluation of programme
