After the success of Barbican Blocks, their collaboration with Co-DB Play and Pop-up Parks in 2017,they would like to develop a new play provision as a semi-permanent contribution to the Barbicans public offer for families. They are open to hearing proposals from artists, collectives or companies who are interested in helping us test the boundaries of play in the context of a multi-arts centre. Proposal can take any format, but must engage with current pedagogies for best practice in learning and play: nurturing creativity and imagination through child-led play.
Please send proposals to creative.learning@barbican.org.uk by Tuesday 3 April, 5pm.
If you have questions about brief please contact Creative Learning Curator Chris Webb or Creative Learning Producer Lauren Monaghan-Pisano for an informal conversation about the project.
