Story Matters, a community interest company based in Lewisham, are looking for a part time Project coordinator to work with the Project Director and a Lewisham Community group to coordinate, monitor and deliver part of their exciting Made In Lewisham Project.

Made In Lewisham is a community-led movement to encourage and promote cultural heritage engagement and tourism, creativity and sustainable enterprise in the borough. Story Matters is working particularly with marginalised community groups to help them to celebrate and share their cultural heritage with a wider audience and to raise their profile in the borough.

This part of the project called “Celebrating & Sharing Tamil Heritage” involves supporting members of the Tamil Community as they prepare for and deliver an “Explorers” session at the Horniman Museum (October) as well as coordinating two “Collection” days where members of the Tamil Community will share their memories, stories and objects with a group of trained “Collectors” who will record and prepare the material to be uploaded as part of a Made In Lewisham Historypin Collection and a digital schools resource pack.

The role, work due to start in October 2017 and will finish in December 2017. Fee to be confirmed shortly – freelance.
