Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance is a world-class Higher Education Institution, at the leading edge of music and dance training. It provides specialist education of the highest quality, bringing together artists to learn, train, collaborate and research in an inspiring, creative environment that reflects the collaborative world of artistic practice.

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic person to lead the Postgraduate Diploma Community Dance: a unique programme offering intensive practice-based training with academic study at postgraduate level. The post includes leadership of the MA Creative Practice (Community Dance) – an internal upgrade pathway for graduates of the PGDip Community Dance.

Applications are invited from individuals with a recognised profile as a practicing artist in the profession/higher education and substantial experience of leading and managing programmes/projects. The successful applicant will continue the development of this established programme that has, over the last 30 years, offered high quality vocational study in community dance, supporting artists into the profession in the UK and all over the world.

As Programme Leader, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management and day-to-day running of the Programme(s), ensuring that it continues to be attractive and relevant, reflecting the needs of the dance industry, as well as maintaining currency in light of developments in dance education and training in the higher education and community sectors.

You will report to the Head of Postgraduate Studies and work closely with other Masters Programme Leaders and the Programme Leader of the one year professional development programme (Diploma in Dance Studies). The remit of the Programme affords close links with the Learning & Participation Department and their work in the education and community sectors.
