Sydenham Arts Festival are looking for established playwrights, ideally with experience running workshops for events in early July

The workshop has ten free places open to new playwrights, who have been asked to submit a sample of their scriptwriting. The course will encourage these writers to each craft a ten-minute play to be performed script-in-hand by professional actors on Wed 10 July at The Hob in Forest Hill.
The workshops run as follows:
Three evening workshops, Mon 1, Wed 3 and Mon 8 July (7.30-9.30pm) and an all-day Sunday workshop, where we are hoping to bring in ‘guest mentor’ playwrights between 11am-5pm on Sun 7 July. The venue for all workshops is the Sydenham Community Library.
There is a fee available. We can pay the course workshop leader up to £300 for the three evening workshops (£100 per workshop) and there is a further budget of £300 to pay up to 3 guest mentors on the Sunday. Here are the links to each workshop & the playwriting showcase that they culminate with:
