We hope that you have had a fantastic Summer Term and that you are looking forward to a well-earned break over the holidays! It has been a busy and enjoyable term for us and we have a special new membership offer for teachers and school staff to say thank you for all your support.
Over the Summer we’re also showing a programme of pocket-money friendly family films to keep your students entertained with our Kids’ Summer Holiday Specials. We’d be really grateful if you would circulate the attached flyer to your holiday playscheme leaders and parents who you think would be interested. No need to pre-book for the Kids’ Summer Holiday Specials- just turn up and buy your tickets on the day!

BLACK HISTORY MONTH
We will be offering Black History Month screenings for primary schools at the following Picturehouse sites this October.
We’re still firming up details for this year’s programme, but in the past we’ve shown feature film and archive screenings with interactive workshops and introductions. Here are the dates- the films on offer will be announced in September:
Clapham Picturehouse: 7 and 14 October
The Gate, Notting Hill: 11 and 18 October
Stratford East Picturehouse: 9 and 16 October
The Ritzy, Brixton: 10 and 17 October
Hackney Picturehouse: 11 and 18 October
Greenwich Picturehouse: 8 and 15 October

ANTI-BULLYING WEEK
Picturehouse Education are bringing back our popular Anti-Bullying week screenings and workshops this Autumn. Screenings will be running between the 18th and 29th November at the following cinemas:
Clapham Picturehouse: 18 and 25 November
The Gate, Notting Hill: 22 and 29 November
Greenwich Picturehouse: 19 and 26 November
Hackney Picturehouse: 22 and 29 November
The Ritzy, Brixton: 21 and 28 November
Stratford East Picturehouse: 20 and 27 November

BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA and THE ANT BULLY are also available to hire now and next term for school screenings in September, October and November. Both films deal with themes of bullying and friendship and the screening will include an anti-bullying and Cineliteracy workshop to introduce the film.
We need a minimum of 10 working days to secure a film booking, and workshops will be subject to availability- so the more notice you can give us the better! Tickets are £3.50 for a group of 50 or more students, or £175 flat rate for a smaller group for a private weekday morning screening.
TEACHER ADVISORY PANELS
Our teacher advisory panels are your chance to feedback to us on the screenings and events you would like to see as part of Picturehouse Education programme. And to say thank you, all those attending will get a free cinema ticket, a slice of pizza and a glass of wine!
The sessions take place early evening and will be happening at the following sites next term:
Clapham Picturehouse: Monday 23 September
Greenwich Picturehouse:Tuesday 24 September
Stratford East Picturehouse: Wednesday 25 September
The Ritzy, Brixton: Thursday 26 September
The Gate, Notting Hill: Monday 30 September
Hackney Picturehouse: Tuesday 1 October

If you are unable to attend these sessions but are still interested in discussing our education programme with us please do still get in touch and we will try to make alternative arrangements.
OUR OFFER FOR SCHOOLS
We will also be offering teachers the chance to book screenings of their choice for their school throughout the next academic year. We are happy to organise a number of special events for schools, including:
- Private morning screenings of a film of your choice (also available during the half-term and school holidays for Children’s Centres)
- Book-by-request screenings of our favourite educational titles with an introductory workshop (subject to availability). See details here.
