Complicité has an exciting 3 month paid internship opportunity coming up. We are looking for an enthusiastic, well organised Marketing & Administration intern to support our team during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019.

Purpose of the role

The main purpose of the role
is to support Complicité’s presence at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019,
where we will have two productions. The Intern will support the team’s
preparations for Edinburgh, be based there for the duration of the Fringe, and
then return to the office in London to assist the orderly closure of the
season.

Support and any necessary
training will be provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

Office Administration

  • Respond
    to email and telephone enquiries
  • Assist
    the Administrator with tasks such as monitoring and ordering stationery, IT and
    office supplies
  • Arrange
    local travel and accommodation for staff when required
  • Assist
    with the post, including distribution and mailings
  • Help
    maintain office filing and archive
  • General administrative
    support for the office team

Production

  • Support the
    Assistant Producer with rehearsals
    and London previews for our in-house production
  • Support
    the Production Team at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (e.g. phone calls, sourcing and buying props)
  • Monitor
    and report on ticket sales, overseeing daily ticket offers (2for1 deals,
    liaising with ‘half price hut’)
  • Liaise with and support The Wardrobe
    Ensemble’s production that has been developed with Complicité

 

Marketing and Communications

  • Assist the
    Communications Manager with gathering audience feedback surveys
  • Help to
    create assets for social media (e.g. Instagram stories), as well as posting and
    uploading, updating the website and the digital archive
  • Arrange and
    manage flyer distribution and
    other activities to promote ticket sales in Edinburgh
  • Support
    ‘meet & greet’ with VIPs, venue representatives and press in Edinburgh

Person Specification

  • Excellent
    organisational skills, with a good attention to detail
  • Ability
    to juggle many tasks and remain calm
  • Ability
    to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people – face to face and in
    writing
  • Experience
    of working as part of a small team and taking the initiative
  • An interest
    in the arts
  • Ability
    to use Mac computers and
    Microsoft Office programmes
  • Willingness
    to work flexible hours (in Edinburgh)
  • Available to work to the following schedule:

24 June – 26 July: based in London
(accommodation and travel NOT covered)

29 July – 27 August: based in Edinburgh
(accommodation and travel provided by the Company)

28 August – 13 Sept: based in London
(accommodation and travel NOT covered)
