The
Horniman Museum and Gardens will be supporting a Museum Futures Digital Trainee
(working on the South London Music project).

The
Trainee will help in the creation, organisation, and sharing on line of the
Hornimans digital images, audio and video, helping the museum to tell vivid
stories about the peoples of the world.
The
chosen candidate will be trained in digital management and will work for a
large part of their placement as part of the Music in the Making project
team, working with music and musicians, especially the music and musicians of
South London. The trainee will also help the Horniman to learn how to make the
most of media old and new and keep it safe forever.
The
Horniman trainee will be paid a bursary of £15,350 (tax free) and work towards
a Level 3 Diploma in Cultural Heritage. This is a full-time placement for one
year.
We encourage young people aged 18-24 that have not completed an undergraduate degree to apply. Candidates with over 6 months paid or unpaid experience of working in a museum and/or with a postgraduate qualification in a related area are not eligible to apply.
