Ovalhouse seeking Head of Learning and Participation

Ovalhouse are seeking a Head of Learning and Participation.

Open Until:

Posted: 05/08/2017

Together with a talented team of managers and practitioners and in dialogue with the Leadership team (Director [CEO], Executive Producer and General Manager) and Head of Theatre and Artists’ Development, the Head of Learning and Participation will scope and lead the next phase for the organisation’s Learning and Participation Programme.

This role is central to the theatre’s ambitious plans for the coming years, make no mistake – this is a tall order role. Ovalhouse want a dynamic, inspired and organised change-maker; someone with empowering leadership and a personal ease at creating and managing multiple and diverse teams.

Fearless and friendly, you will not be daunted by the task ahead – a revamp of learning, participation and engagement within a department with a strong track record and masses of redesign potential. But you can have all that and without a sense of fun, flexibility and a flirtation with risk they might pass up on you anyway!

You could be doing this already from a small scale operation, preferably a venue that champions young people and their work, you may be a functioning cog in a massive arts wheel, whatever your current deal – we are looking for someone who sits well in an organisational set up – they want someone with both experience and ambition for theatre for young people. Bags of it.

They welcome applications from people of different ages, genders, social and economic backgrounds, ethnicities, religions and sexual orientations, and to people with and without disabilities.

Previous applicants are welcome to apply.

To apply please download the candidate brief and equalities form on their website link. Apply at ovalhouse.livevacancies.co.uk

If you would like to have an informal conversation about the role with Executive Producer Stella Kanu, please contact Administrator Emily Blackwell (Emily.blackwell@ovalhouse.com) on 020 7820 7263 to arrange this.
