As we set out in the autumn, we are reframing the ‘Breakfast Club’ as ‘Freelancer Forum’ which will provide more targeted training/CPD events as well as online networking information and the option of sharing your opportunities and news on the members only Freelancer Forum webpage.

What is Freelancer Forum?
LEAN’s Freelance Forum is a new network for Lewisham based artists and freelancers working in the participatory arts.
As a Freelancer Forum member, you will be able to set up a public profile page on LEAN’s website with contact details and information about your practice.
As a Freelancer Forum member, you will have the option of joining our Skills Database which the LEAN team will share with Lewisham teachers when they request details of artists looking to work in schools.
Freelancer Forum members will receive discounts on LEAN training events and workshops, regular targeted newsletters with exclusive access to the Freelancer Forum web page with information on the latest job and commissioning opportunities.
Is there a charge for joining Freelancer Forum?
Yes, to become a member of LEAN’s Freelancer Forum there is an annual charge of £20 or £15 concessions.
How do I join Freelancer Forum?
You will need to resubmit your details. To sign up to LEAN’s Freelancer Forum and receive information on how to set up a public profile and join the Skills Database click HERE
To kick off, we are offering new Freelancer Forum members a FREE place on the upcoming workshop with Emma Jeffs Plan, Design and Build Your Website Homepage. This is usually £25 for Freelancer Forum members (non-members £40), scheduled for March 11th 2026 9.30am-12.30pm at Catford Library. Free to the new Freelancer Forum members who book on a first come first served basis. Non members will also be booking so don’t delay to secure your place.
In this practical 3-hour workshop, creative mentor and strategist Emma will guide artists, educators, cultural practitioners, and small organisations working with children and young people through building a homepage that truly works.
Once you sign up for Freelancer Forum your welcome email will contain a unique discount code to book onto Emma’s workshop FREE via Eventbrite HERE
