Sound Connections is partnering with NAME (National Association of Music Educators) to host the NAME London Regional Conference on 19 June.
‘Reaching Out is a one-day conference focussing on creative and imaginative ways to use music to engage young people, whatever the challenges they face.
Whether because of language barriers, behavioural issues or a variety of
additional needs, music can often be the most powerful way to reach out
to young people in challenging circumstances.
The day will offer a
range of workshops, presentations and discussion opportunities to
explore effective ways to connect with children and young people through
music-making in both mainstream and special schools.
