The Role
This
is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of the marketing and
communications campaign for Lewishams year as London Borough of
Culture. The role will be responsible for coordinating content
for key communications channels and enabling the smooth running of the
campaign.
You
will sit within Lewisham Councils Culture Team, responsible for the
delivery of our 2022 Borough of Culture programme of events. From social
media to websites, this is an ideal opportunity to gain experience of
all aspects of marketing and communications as part of a dynamic,
inclusive and supportive team.
You

This apprenticeship is for 19 months, running until December 2022.
About London Borough of Culture
In
2022, Lewisham will be London Borough of Culture. An ambitious,
year-long programme of events will put critical issues at its heart,
celebrating Lewishams rich history and diverse communities through
music, dance, public art, storytelling and more.
The vision for the year is to use arts and culture to bring people
together, amplify voices and affect real change in Lewisham communities. The
programme will also shine a spotlight on Lewisham as a vibrant cultural
destination.

They are looking for a creative, proactive and organised person with good communication skills and an eagle eye for detail. You will also be interested in arts, culture or live events, be this music, theatre, dance or street art.
Apprenticeship Guidance Notes
To be eligible for a position on the Apprenticeship scheme you must
- Be over the age of 16 (there is no upper age limit)
- Be a Lewisham borough resident (the electoral register will be used to verify this information)
- Have
full residency entitlement, there must be no restrictions on your
status in the UK (all successful candidates will need to produce their
passport once a job offer is made) - Have
the minimum number of qualifications required as stated in the relevant
job description (all potential applicants will be expected to attend an
initial assessment session).
