Set & Costume Designer

Lewisham
Youth Theatre creates full scale productions for young people aged 8 to 24. We are
looking for versatile creative Designers for our 2Junior Youth Theatre
performances in April & June 2017. Working with
our creative team the Designers will design and create set and costumes for the
shows.

The
performances will take place at The Broadway Studio Theatre on;  Thurs 6th 
April        Junior Youth Theatre for 12 to
14.Sat    
3rd June        Junior Youth
Theatre for 8 to 11s.

 

 

Junior
Youth Theatre 12 to 14s April Performance

The company
of young actors, will perform in a professional theatre on 6th April
2017. They will
perform a variety of duologues & small group scenes.
They attend
weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays from January 2017.

Designers
Time Commitment;
·        
During
rehearsals: Production meetings x 3 & attend least 1 session, dates tbc.
·        
Late
March/Early April – Making period.
·        
Thurs
6th  April  –    Performance
·        
10th
April – returns and evaluation dates to be arranged.

FEE: £850

 

Junior
Youth Theatre 8 to 11’s June Performance

2 companies
aged 8 to 12 in 2 performance groups which rehearse on Tuesday and Saturdays at
The Broadway Rehearsal Room Catford .

The show
takes place at the end of the spring half term in the Broadway Studio Theatre.

Plays will be
finalised in early December.

Designers
Time commitment:

·        
Production
meetings in December, early Feb, late March, May dates are set around the team
so as yet TBC.

·        
Attend
2 rehearsal sessions – 1 x Saturday . 1 x Tuesday . Dates as fit.

·        
22nd
May – Make week full week usually at LYT

·        
Saturday
27th May – Costume Fittings.

·        
Tuesday
30th May to Friday Production week

·        
Saturday
3rd June 2017 – 2 Performances.

·        
Monday
5th June  – Returns in this week as arranged.
