The National Portrait Gallery houses a unique Collection of all forms of portraiture of the people who have made or who are currently contributing to British history and culture. With more than 2 million visitors last year, the Gallery is one of the countrys most important and popular galleries.
The learning department are currently seeking a Learning Services Assistant to be responsible for delivering effective bookings and other administrative support services for a range of activity within the Learning Department at the National Portrait Gallery. The post holder will provide the first point of contact for a range of audiences and will demonstrate a keen understanding of their different needs.
The successful candidate will have experience gathered in a relevant working environment such as a museum/ gallery office, be able to demonstrate practical experience of delivering high standards of customer service, and ideally have an understanding of the needs of schools, teachers and young people in a museum/ gallery environment.
22.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks)
Salary £8,793 per annum (full-time equivalent £20,843)
