LEAN is hosting our annual AGM alongside a creative networking event in order to encourage the development of partnerships between schools, creative practitioners and cultural organisations.
We would like to invite you to apply to take part in this event!
For no charge, you can promote your services directly to teachers in the borough by delivering a workshop of your choice.
This is a valuable opportunity for you to show off the exciting opportunities that you or your organisation can offer schools, and hopefully build relationships that will lead to future work. It will also be a chance to find out about what support is available to you from local schools, LEAN and other organisations.
This event will be organised in an activities-focused format, involving workshops and discussion groups, and will facilitate the sharing of good practice between teachers and creative practitioners. We anticipate that you will gain insight into changes in the educational landscape and discover new ways to integrate your Arts activities into the ever-changing curriculum. We know that offering taster activities is a great way for teachers to explore new media and experiment with new techniques in a comfortable, supportive environment. This opportunity for face-to-face sharing of creative activity and conversation will help build trust and encourage future collaborations.
Event will be held on Thursday, 31 January 2013 in Deptford, 4:30-7:30pm
All selected workshop leaders will need to deliver one workshop twice, for two different groups of teachers.
Workshops will run strictly from 5:40-6:10pm and 6:20-6:50pm.
There will be allocated time for refreshments and further networking after the workshops.
We will facilitate the sharing of contact details between schools, participants and workshop leaders.
We aim to select creative workshops from a range of art forms to represent the cultural offerings within Lewisham- dance, media, performing arts, creative writing, visual arts, music, etc, all encouraged to apply. Get your application in early.
To register your interest, please email the form attached to email@example.com before 5pm Monday 3 December 2012.
