Children's Art Week will take place across the UK from Saturday 9 to Sunday 17 June 2018.
Open Until:
Posted: 24/04/2018
Registration is open for venues of all types and sizes – from museums and galleries to libraries, community halls and schools, to individual artists and makers. It’s a fantastic opportunity to encourage families, children and young people to visit local venues and enjoy fun creative activities that they might not have tried before – especially groups who might be new to your venue. Last year more than 16,200 joined in the fun across the UK. 60% of participants attending their activity were first time visitors to venues, and 30% of participants were audiences who were completely new to the arts. The first 40 venues / individual artists or makers to register events will receive £50 seed funding to support their event. All registered events will receive resources to help plan and promote their activities, publicity support plus free Children’s Art Week stickers to hand out on the day. Visit www.childrensartweek.org.uk and sign up by Friday 18 May 2018. Children’s Art Week is run by Engage, the National Association for Gallery Education, and supported in 2018 by the Kirby Laing Foundation.
