Job Opportunity | World Heart Beat Creative Programmes Assistant

This dynamic role will work with the World Heart Beat team to plan, organise and deliver a wide range of creative, music and professional development projects across our two locations, WHB Kimber Road and WHB Embassy Gardens, nationally and online.  

 

This new role represents a great opportunity for an early career professional to become part of a growing and ambitious music education organisation, passionate about creating opportunities for children and young people across south London to learn and be inspired by music. This role offers a chance to work with a highly skilled team at an exciting and pivotal time for the organisations as we expand into our new music education centre and concert venue at Embassy Gardens.

This position is a twelve-month PAID internship (March 2023-February 2024) supported by the Jack Petchey Foundation. You must be ready to take up the position no later than 27 March 2023.  

 

As part of this role, you will be part of the Jack Petchey Internship Programme with other interns from different youth organisations in London and Essex. The programme will involve you attending a launch conference, a six-month update workshop, six professional development workshops through the year and a celebration event at the end of the programme. You will also receive an extra training bursary of £1,000 for approved training, that helps you develop the skills and knowledge you’ll need for your future. 

 

You will also be matched with a mentor from another organisation to support you in your professional development. The Jack Petchey Internship Programme training and events will take place in person in London, and you will be expected to take full part in this programme alongside your role and responsibilities at World Heart Beat Music Academy. 

 

Salary: £23,203
Fixed Term: March 2023 – February 2024
Hours: Full-time working is equivalent to 35 hours per week. Hours are flexible, with the
requirement to support the outreach and events programme.

Location: WHB at Kimber Road, SW18 4PP / WHB Embassy Gardens, Ponton Road, SW11 7BD. Some remote working may be possible.
