Launched in May 2014, The Hive is a fast growing education company focused on Outdoor Learning. They run day camps for children ages 5 ½ -12, family experiences and education projects. They are currently recruiting for all 2016 holidays across three locations: SE London (Eltham College), NW London (Merchant Taylors) and Surrey (St George’s Weybridge).
The Hive is unique in the UK in bringing together high quality outdoor learning, narrative and technology. Their missions are story-based and revolve around a wide range of outdoor challenges. Technology (iPods, iPads, nature cams, Go Pros, etc.) is threaded into all missions. Activities are wide ranging and can include anything from experiencing AR in games, using bespoke maps for geocaching, reading QR codes to make up soil recipes, shooting an iMovie nature newsflash, following video instructions to build a mini raft, taking selfies to follow a nature hunt and more.
The Hive has a few Lead Facilitator and Instructor positions to fill in at two of its locations: Merchant Taylors’ School (HA6 2HT) and St George’s Weybridge (KT15 2QS).
