Our Engagement team are seeking to appoint an experienced learning practitioner who will be responsible for creating a year-round regular cross-site public programme of activities that use learning from our maritime past and present to inspire the next generation around shaping their futures.

The Engagement Programmes Producer will lead on creating a year-round regular cross-site public programme of activities inspired by the collections, themes and sites of RMG. This role is responsible for producing and delivering programmes that utilises learning from our maritime past and present to inspire the next generation around shaping their futures.

The role holder will work across generations to promote stories and facilitate dialogue around under-represented histories and current issues, bringing people together from different backgrounds for informal social learning experiences. This will lead to a deeper understanding of our shared histories and futures through a dynamic framework of regular public programming. They will work intergenerationally to facilitate audience engagement with the aim of fostering personal connections to maritime heritage and culture. The programme of activities will create conversations around imperial legacies and related social impacts, on a local and national level, contributing towards RMG becoming a more inclusive and representative organisation.
