The It Kickz Music Project is held on Friday evenings between 5.30pm-7pm at Forest Hill School. This innovative FREE 2 year programme is a must for any young person interested in developing their music skills and maybe a career within music.
Through the programme, participants will learn how to play a range of musical instruments, develop their music making skills, participate in collaborative projects, and perform to a live audience. They will also gain leadership skills, an Arts Award qualification and insight into music career opportunities.
To be eligible, the young person must be living or attending school in Sydenham or Forest Hill and either: be in receipt of free school meals, be in care and/or have limited opportunity to access out of school music provision.
There are still a few places left on the programme, so if you know a young person that meets the above criteria, then please get in touch with Sasha Leacock at Forest Hill School on 020 8613 8422 or email itkickz@hotmail.co.uk.
Please also pass this information onto anyone who may be able to contact suitable young people to raise awareness of the project.
It Kickz Music project is a collaborative project between Forest Hill School and Millwall Community Scheme and is funded by Youth Music.
