Lendlease is an international
property group, with a strong interest in helping and developing local
communities. Lendlease is behind some of
London’s largest and most exciting mixed-use regeneration projects such as
Elephant Park and International Quarter London. We are also the lead
construction partner on Google’s landmark new headquarters’ in King’s Cross.

One of our sites – Deptford
Timberyard is based in Lewisham and as we expand our experience and our
footprint, we aspire to continue creating places people want and care about,
and providing value for stakeholders, for our business and the broader community.
Therefore we have agreed to work with Deptford Challenge Trust to further
invest in the local community and have committed £20,000 this year to be used
by charitable and community organisations in Evelyn ward.

We would like to invite local groups to consider applying for some of this
funding. If you would like assistance in determining if you meet our criteria
in terms of location or the type of organisation please do get in touch and we
will be very happy to help.

This is an open grants programme run by the
Deptford Challenge Trust and information about the grants available and how to
apply can be found here. 

We are particularly keen on creating enduring, sustainable environments would
be especially welcome applications with a focus on sustainable living and
communities. Applications are very welcome in relation to the following themes
:

• Education and skills – helping those who need extra support
  to either stay in education or return to it later in life;
• Community
  cohesion and social inclusion – celebrating the diversity of the DCT
  area and welcoming new arrivals into the community;
• Health &
  wellbeing – improving the wellbeing of all residents, in particular those
  with a physical disability, learning difficulty or mental health problem;
• Strengthening
  the DCT area – building capacity and connecting local organisations,
  creating a stronger, more resilient voluntary and community sector

The deadline for submissions
is Midday on the 12th February. As well as online, more
