icandance are recruiting for a Disability Dance Specialist Support Worker

The team at icandance are currently looking for a support worker with extensive experience of working with individuals with disabilities with a therapeutic training.

icandance offers dance and performance opportunities as well as 1 to 1 Dance Movement Psychotherapy sessions to children and young people with varying disabilities aged 4 to 25 years old. Our approach is aimed at developing a creative experience for each dancer, social connection to ease the burden of isolation and an opportunity to express themselves through their body.  

The team comprises of Dance Movement Psychotherapists and other Creative therapists, Community Dance Artists and SEN specialists. We are currently looking for a support worker with extensive experience of working with individuals with disabilities with a therapeutic training.  

Your role would be to work 1 to 1 with an individual to support them in accessing dance sessions with the potential to be trained to lead dance sessions and /or be part of the clinical team of Dance Movement Psychotherapists. You will be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team with opportunities for training, development and creative growth.  

Hours of work: Saturdays 9.30 am – 2.30 pm with some additional meetings 
Hourly rate (contractor): Support worker competitive London rate   
Location: Hampstead
