Lewisham Council have created the Lewisham Apprenticeship and Workforce Development Fund which will help local small and medium sized employers and businesses to recruit more apprentices. They are keen on local charities taking up the opportunity too.

Created from Lewisham Councils unspent apprenticeship levy
funds, the Lewisham Apprenticeship and Workforce Development Fund will be worth
£90,000 a year.
Employers and Businesses in Lewisham will be able to apply
to the Fund which can either be used to train new apprentices recruited to the
organisation, or to upskill or retrain existing workers. Training has to be
a recognised Apprenticeship qualification which include degree and
professional qualifications.
