We are pleased to announce a new funding opportunity from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) for local grassroots voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations (VCSEs), to deliver evening and weekend activities on SLaM's acute adult mental health inpatient wards in Lewisham.

The VCSE Inreach Project is an opportunity for local VCSEs to have a positive impact on our wards and build meaningful connections with our service users by delivering structured activities over a 12-month period in one, or more, of our wards in the Ladywell Unit, University Hospital Lewisham. This includes one Older Adult ward, where we will be looking for dementia-friendly organisations to provide tailored activities for our service users.

For further information or if you need the application form in a different format, please reach out to our Community Partnerships Officer, Hannah Tendler, via VCSE.Inreach@slam.nhs.uk

This project is co-funded by Maudsley Charity and NHS England Inpatient Quality Transformation Programme.

SLaM will join Friday fundraising Club on 5th Dec 1-2pm when we will hear from 2 funders. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85970018554  Password: FR

The deadline for applications is 12th January 2026 at 8:00am.

Successful applicants will be awarded £12,250 of funding for each ward they work on, with the opportunity to apply to up to three wards. For more information, please download the Service Specification and access the application form via SLaM’s website.
