Our Art Summer School is FREE, fun and supportive 10-day course aimed to develop young people’s creative talents, collaborate with other young people, experience art school life and build their portfolio for further study. It is completely free and open to all those studying at college or sixth from aged 16 – 18. We encourage and prioritise applicants who may be traditionally underrepresented in the Arts, including young people in the care system and Pupil Premium students. By taking part, students will receive a guaranteed interview for our Fine Art programmes, should they wish to apply to Goldsmiths and meet the minimum entry criteria.

As part of the course, you can expect:

  • Your own artist studio space
  • Gallery & artist studio visits
  • Mentoring to develop your own art project
  • Creative skills workshops
  • Collaborative art making
  • Portfolio & career advice
  • Public exhibition of your work

Previous participants of the programme have said:

“I enjoyed the art school and think it was an amazing opportunity, I was able to create whatever I wanted with no restrictions, it’s a great opportunity.”

“Thank you so much for this experience, it’s really helped me realise what I really want to do in the future and I’m really looking forward to studying art at university.”
