Crowd Funding:
Beginning on
28 September, projects in Lewisham uploaded onto Space Hive could receive a
pledge of between £2500 (for individuals) to £15,000 (for organisations) from
Esmee Fairbairn. They are offering a £200,000 pot across Lewisham, Hull and Greater Manchester. Decisions will be made on an ongoing basis, and
they will fund alongside individuals, councils and local businesses and
will fund not more than 50% of total project costs.
They are
looking for projects which:
-bring their communities together using
arts, culture food or green spaces
-have genuine community support and
demand
The project must:
Be legally charitable (though you dont have
to be a charity) see the Charity Commission definition here
Take place
in Hull, Manchester or Lewisham
Bring
communities and people together
Have a
lasting impact on the local area and local people
Demonstrate genuine crowdfunded support and demand from the community
How it
works:
They will
consider projects after you have uploaded all information to the Spacehive
platform, have been matched and pitched to the Esmee Fairbairn Community Fund,
been verified and started crowdfunding
They will
let you know if pledging to support your project within 6 weeks of you
starting crowdfunding
