The Director of Young People leads the development and delivery of
all aspects of the Lyric’s young people and talent development
strategies for children, young people and emerging artists aged 0 to 25
years. They work closely with the Lyric’s Joint Chief Executives to set
the strategic direction and artistic ambition of this aspect of our
work, playing a central role in realising the Lyric’s mission and
strategic impact.

The Director of Young People also takes primary responsibility for
managing relationships with the Lyric’s partner organisations, many of
whom are resident at the Lyric. Our Young Lyric Partnership aims to
nurture the talent and creativity of young West Londoners across a range
of artforms. A key member of the Lyric’s Senior Management Team, the
Director of Young People will also contribute to the overall strategic
development of the organisation as well as leading the Young People’s
department.

The Director of Young People acts as the Lyric’s Designated Safeguarding Children Officer (DSCO)
