Deptford X The Parade of Friendly Monsters

Calling all community groups, schools, youth clubs, and more. Deptford X are organising a monstrous procession to close this year’s Deptford X festival on Sunday 3 November.

Open Until:

Posted: 10/03/2022

We are looking for groups and individuals to sign up to participate in the parade on Sunday 3 November. We want anybody and everybody to get involved. Bring your own carnival traditions or invent new ones! Join in free costume making workshops at the Deptford X project space and visit the Horniman Museum’s amazing collection of masks and costumes from around the world. All are welcome and participation is free.

In times like this, the monsters come to guide us through the change. They come from all around the world whenever things get strange.

With fright’ning heads and clanging bells and furs and branches too, they say goodbye to things gone past, and beckon in the new.

And this November, if you dare (no need to be afraid) Please join the friendly monsters on their winter-time parade!

Visit: www.deptfordx.org/parade to apply. Deadline to apply: 15th September 2019

The Parade of Friendly Monsters is a project by artist producer Phoenix Fry in partnership with Deptford X
