Culture and Diversity Development Bursaries, Lewisham Council

Ten bursaries of £750 each will be made available to cultural practitioners and small organisations. Recipients will also be offered mentoring support from Lewisham’s Culture Team.

Priority
will be given to applicants who are currently under-represented in the
cultural workforce, in particular organisations or
individuals who are black or minority ethnic or live with a disability
and/or neuro diverse applicants.

Ten bursaries of £750
each will be made available to cultural practitioners and small
organisations and recipients will also be offered mentoring support from
Lewisham’s Culture Team to help further develop their
project ideas.

They will be expected to apply for at least one external
funding source and will have the opportunity to be considered for a
delivery grant to provide match funding.  Where appropriate bursary
recipients may be matched with an established community
or cultural organisation to further support the development and delivery
of the project. 

Lewisham Council are seeking ideas for projects to mark the following important
dates in the borough’s civic calendar:

Project ideas can be
for any artform but will need to culminate in a public performance,
screening or exhibition. Projects should explore themes relevant to one
of the civic events above with the purpose of increasing understanding
across communities in Lewisham.

Support via application workshops will take place online on

·        17 March, 1.30-2.30 pm and    

·        31 March, 5.30-6.30 pm.

It is not necessary to attend a workshop in order to apply but it will
give you an opportunity to ask questions and hear from other
applicants.
