Guidance notes are now online for organisations who would like to propose a new initiative for the Challenge programme.
The Cultural Education Challenge is a new programme led by A New
Direction (AND) about creating a step-change in cultural education for
children and young people in London.
A New Direction will
invest £900,000 over three years in the Challenge. They will be asking partners
to provide a minimum of 100% match to funds requested from the programme, and they can only accept bids which meet the match funding requirement. All bids must
be rooted in addressing the cultural education needs of young Londoners. AND
intends to make around nine investments of £100,000. The final decision on
investments will be made by A New Direction and Arts Council England, taking
advice from an independent Challenge Group with an overview of the relevant
issues in London.
Expressions of interest will be open on 30 March. See guidance notes for applications for more information.
