Heart n Soul are a leading arts organisation based in Deptford. We are looking for lively volunteers to help facilitate our creative sessions for young people with learning disabilities and support participation at upcoming events including the Lord Mayor's Show. This is a great opportunity to get to know the young people and artists at Heart n Soul and to join us in preparing for an exciting public event.

Heart n Soul runs regular creative sessions for young people called Do Your Own Thing which take place monthly on a Saturday afternoon from 1pm 4pm. Young people can choose from four workshops: music, dance/drama, Vjing and Djing. At the moment our young people are using the DYOT sessions to get ready for their performance in the Lord Mayor’s Show on an open-top double-decker bus!
We are looking for volunteers to help facilitate these sessions, rehearsals and performances. This can involve setting up and packing away, welcoming participants and parents/carers, assisting artists/session leaders and supporting the participants.
The next dates are: Saturday 8 October, Saturday 5 November, Friday 11 November and Saturday 12 November. We are looking for people who are able to commit to all these dates.
Volunteers should be good communicators, enjoy meeting new people and have an interest in the arts as well as lots of energy and enthusiasm. Please get in touch with Esme if you would like to be involved.
