As a key member of our expert learning team, youll focus on designing and implementing programmes for schools and teachers. Youll help us to offer a range of experiences that enable deeper understanding, knowledge and engagement with art, maximising learning experiences from Tates world-class collections. And, as we work with artists to reflect current shifts within artists practice, youll be involved in inviting and inventing new ways of looking at art.
Taking a cross-site view of Tate Britain and Tate Modern, youll ensure the smooth running of the schools and teachers team in close collaboration with a job sharer. As well as contributing to programme strategy and review, attending senior-level meetings and overseeing budgets, youll enjoy opportunities for hands-on education work too.
To succeed in our dynamic and creative environment, youll need experience of managing a programme and a team in a significant visual arts organisation. This should include project management, budget management and team management skills. Youll be a confident communicator and a collaborative worker. A sound knowledge of British or international art and culture is essential.
This post is offered as a job-share and is part-time, 21.6 hours per week. The post is offered on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave.
Interviews will be held Friday 15 February 2013.
