ae7 will focus on gender equality and will contain
artwork, interviews and writing from students and teachers at Welling
School as well as arts practitioners from outside the school. Past
contributors have included Richard Wentworth, Jeremy Deller, John
Baldessari, Cornford & Cross and Peter Liversidge.
We are inviting people to submit a 300 word outline of ideas for an article or artwork for this issue. The deadline for this is April 20th.
The format of the content is relatively flexible and we are open to
submissions of images or text or a combination of the two. A typical
essay is around 2,000 words. Each page is 31x47cm.
We are also in the process of planning a conference in Autumn about
this theme and are looking for contributions that will lead into this.
ae was established in 2011 at Welling School in Bexley and is focused
on exploring art and education. We have a distribution run of 5,000,
which is distributed for free in galleries, museums and art institutions
across the UK.
