Louise House is a grade II listed building in Forest Hill, South East London. Lewisham Council is looking to secure a viable and sustainable long term use for this landmark building; a use which is not only financially viable but which is also compatible with the adjacent public buildings. The building would provide excellent accommodation for an organisation, or group of partner organisations to secure premises in a vibrant town centre with great transport links.

This is not a business as usual approach the Council is interested in hearing about interesting and innovative solutions to this unique opportunity.
Louise House is well positioned to be a cultural destination for the area. The Council recognises that there are significant economic opportunities offered by creative industries sector in the borough (http://www.lewisham.gov.uk/inmyarea/arts/info-and-marketing/creative-industries/Pages/default.aspx) and has therefore arranged a capacity building workshop with Locality to assist groups wishing to prepare the necessary business and investment plans.
Louise House is owned freehold by the Council and the successful tender would need to provide a sustainable solution to bring the property into use. The Council is not in a position to offer financial support to a bidder either by way of capital or revenue contributions.
Full details of the tender will be contained in a pack which will be issued in October 2012. It is important that any expressions of interest (EOI) are registered by 21st September 2012. The paperwork for organisations wishing to submit an EOI will be available very shortly.
