Lewisham Council is seeking to commission at least 5 organisations across Lewisham, to help us understand how the communities they work with are impacted by drugs and alcohol. How the treatment system can better reach those communities, and what else can be done to help support those communities. We are seeking to commission at least 5 organisations across Lewisham up to £20,000 each to engage with underrepresented groups.

Our Substance Use Needs Assessment informed there is significant under representation of groups in Lewisham’s drug and alcohol treatment service.
Underrepresented groups are listed below:
• Asian
• South Asian & Chinese
• Back British, African & Caribbean
• Mixed backgrounds
• Women
• LGBTQ+
• Parents & carers
• Young people under the age of 18
• Refugees & migrant communities
We welcome proposals from organisations that work with people from Lewisham’s diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to those listed above and any other groups who are struggling to access drug and alcohol treatment.
