Spread the Word is pleased to open a brand new Award that will discover and profile talented young poets in the capital.

Judged by the Young People’s Laureate for London, Caleb Femi, the
Awards will celebrate talented young poets aged 13 – 25 living in
London. We’re asking poets to create written or performed poems on the
theme of ‘Tomorrow’.

Caleb Femi introduces the award and talks about why he chose the theme of ‘tomorrow’ in a short video on Spread the Word’s site:

The awards are open

The Awards are in two
categories: 13 – 17 year olds and 18 – 25 year olds.

There’s more info on the
website
including ‘the lowdown’ on timings, format, length, how to entre, more about the prizes and some top tips from Caleb.

Prizes inc £75 vouchers
/ £75 cash (older category), publication of the winning poems and invitation to
