The salary range £28,494 – £35,045 pro rata (4 month fixed term contract July 2013 October 2013)
A New Direction, in partnership with Create, manage the employability programme Create Jobs which provides new routes into the arts and creative industries for young people living in London’s growth boroughs (Barking & Dagenham, Greenwich, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, and Waltham Forest).
The aim is to bring a new cohort of young people into the arts and creative industries and diversify the workforce.
Through Create Jobs, A New Direction is delivering a Job Centre Plus Flexible Working Grant to create 75 work experience placements (or up to 8 weeks), and 50 jobs that last a minimum of 13 weeks. We have been delivering the programme since September 2012, and entering into a very busy period of summer activity.
To ensure we meet and exceed our targets, we require a project co-ordinator to manage the programme through the final stages of the contract.
The position will work closely with Programme Associate, Oliver Benjamin who is responsible for the overview of Create Jobs. You will also work closely with the Programme Director Rebecca Branch and Steve Moffitt, A New Direction’s CEO.
