I am a Catford-based writer who has worked with The Quietus, GUAP, The British Library, Lexus, Broccoli Productions and Factory International among others. I take a flexible approach to my craft, moving between copywriting, editorial, creative writing, scripting and broadcasting.
I have also mentored at kids’ creative writing school Ministry of Stories and with Arts Emergency, helping to facilitate group sessions at the former (both in and out of schools) while working one-to-one with college leavers on behalf of the latter.
Lewisham has been my home for the past 12 years. I'm proud to call this place my borough and am always looking for other ways to play an active role. Aside from volunteering at the Migration Museum on their People's Panel, which will forever feel like it's 'down the road', I have also been serving as a voluntary board director at Sister Midnight, Lewisham’s first community-owned music venue, with a particular interest in youth engagement.
When carefully chosen and imbued with real meaning, words have the power to open minds and bridge divides. I want to bring this energy to any room I walk into and help ensure that any programme I contribute to reflects the plurality of voices and depth of human spirit that's all around us.
