Through our Freelancer Forum, whatever stage you are in your career, we provide facilitated networking opportunities for you to meet your peers, tailored one-to one-support sessions, professional development training and bespoke newsletters.
What you get
- Freelancer Forum Members Page: Exclusive online access to the latest opportunities which organisations have asked LEAN to share. This may include freelance work or permanent roles, commissions, open calls, opportunities to work with schools.
- Freelancer Forum Newsletter: Sent out twice a term with more details of LEAN and other partners’ networking events and training, sector news and opportunities to share project case studies or collaboration requests for future projects
- Free Freelancer Forum Network meetings e.g. twilight private view, practice sharing hosted by different local arts venues
- Discounted Half-day training on half-day courses on specific identified sector needs e.g. aspects of fundraising, social media, how to work with schools [fees £20-£25 for member; £45 non-members]*
- Bookable one-to-one advice sessions with LEAN specialist staff on project development introductions to schools and bid reviews
- Inclusion in LEAN’s freelancer skills database. LEAN is often asked by schools to recommend practitioners with a particular expertise
- The LEAN general Monthly Bulletin: a digest of that month’s web posts of events and projects on offer to young people
LEAN Freelancer Forum annual Membership fee is £20 (£15 concession rate if in receipt of benefits).
Subscriptions and training fees can be counted as professional development therefore as tax deductible expenses
