In Kind Direct
redistributes surplus goods from companies to UK charities working in the UK
and abroad.

In Kind Direct
helps charities to save money by providing access to the products that charities
need to run their organisation and help beneficiaries. Products might include
toiletries and cleaning products, clothes and toys, or office supplies and
tools.

Charities that
save money by receiving products from In Kind Direct can therefore focus funds
on core activities and fundraise less.

Registration is
free. Once registered charities get to access an online catalogue of products
and then order the items they need. Each time a charity orders they pay a small
handling charge to use the service, which includes delivery. Typically it’s
10%-20% of the retail price of the goods.

Since foundation
in 1996, In Kind Direct has redistributed £130 million in value of goods from
over 930 companies. Over 6,700 charities have received products from In Kind Direct, helping
millions of people in need.

In Kind Direct
was founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1996 and is one of The Prince’s
Charities, which is the largest multi-cause charitable enterprise in the United
Kingdom.
