Join us for
an open conversation event with artists Katriona
Beales, Jemma
Egan and Helen
Rousseau who
will be discussing their experiences and approaches to working on
the Supersmashers programme. Supersmashers is a weekly after-school club
for looked after children in Southwark, which has been running at the gallery
since 2012.
The artists have worked with Supersmashers as part of a team of playworkers,
social workers and gallery education staff. This discursive event will explore
this collaborative working practice, asking questions about the artists role
and sharing areas of learning and challenge.
