Southbank Centre Creative Careers Day: Art and Art Galleries

The Southbank centre are running an art and art galleries focused Careers Day for 14-18 year olds. A day jam packed with workshops, careers talks and opportunities to meet some top arts organisations, all for free!

Discover routes into jobs you never even knew existed with the people who make the visual arts industry run.

Join the Southbank Centre for a free afternoon of panel discussions, careers advice and workshops on topics including making exhibitions; art handling and installation; public programming and education; and text, digital and publishing – communicating art to audiences.

Who selects the artists? Which artworks make the cut? How do the public find out about exhibitions and explore them and who ensures that every artwork arrives and leaves just as the artist intended?

Join the Hayward Gallery team and panellists Rianna Jade Parker (Thick/er Black Lines), Charlie Mills (Artist Liaison for Hannah Barry Gallery and Bold Tendencies), Bindi Vora (project manager at Autograph), Mattie Loyce (Artistic Programme Manager at 198 Contemporary Arts and Learning).

Meet organisations including Bold Tendencies, 198 Contemporary Arts and Learning, Creative Dimension Trust, University of the Arts London, National Gallery Young Producers, Young Art Kommunity and Engage.
