Are you interested in learning more about working in the arts with children and young people?
The
participatory arts field is full of incredibly talented, compassionate,
and ground-breaking facilitators and artists. Joining this developing
and
fast-paced industry can sometimes feel like trying to jump onto a moving
roundabout!
LEAN
and Goldsmiths NX Hub want to provide space and expertise to introduce
you to the adaptive and expansive world of participatory arts.
Participatory
arts is an ever-evolving area with projects going on in very different
spaces – one week you can be facilitating in a hospital, the next in a
community garden!
This
is an opportunity for you to find out how others have transitioned from
artist to participatory artist; consider how to hold your own artistic
practice alongside work with children and young people; and think deeply
about whether the participatory arts sector is for you.
This event will run on Wednesday 21st July 2021 from 10.30am-12.30pm.
We
will have a roundtable of incredible speakers from different stages in
their careers, and working in various industries, disciplines, and
spaces.
