BoxLit Theatre brings you Romeo and Juliet like you’ve never seen it before!

In a sensitively abridged version where Shakespeare’s original language has not been altered, two actors take on several roles exploring this famous tale.

Combining cinematic film projection with live theatre, in a pop-up glowing white cube, Chloe Levis and Sebastian Christophers offer a truly innovative theatre experience.

For students, it is an opportunity to explore different ways of bringing one of Shakespeare’s tragedies to the stage.

Ultimately, love battles with hate, passion with power and screens replace true human connection. Despite this, Romeo and Juliet find purity in each other, their untainted love and death hold a mirror to the society they leave behind.

Performers Chloe and Sebastian have appeared in shows such as ITV’s The Halcyon, ITV’s Tricked, BBC’s Magnificent Seven, Award-Winning Film Jamie as well as UK & International tours of Macbeth, Hamlet & Romeo and Juliet.

Directed and produced by Andrew Livingstone. Andrew is a Stage One Alumni and has produced many productions in Edinburgh, London, Colchester as well as assisting in the West End. Andrew has also been the assistant director on shows such as Hard Time at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester and A View From The Bridge at the Rose Theatre Studio.
